Anyone know if Ducati are changing their bike direction next year, as in a whole new bike or are they using the same type machine ? #9 The one we all know doesnt work ). Constant 10th-ish placements unless its raining I reckon myself, Cal will be quick. He rides a little like Stoner i think myself & coould suit the Ducati as its that type of , rip its head off, swing out of it and it will go quick kinda bike (?). A two year deal for Cal is great. I know he wants a factory ride ( who deosnt ) but will Ducati deliver the goods to him in the form of a handling bike ?
Everyone seems to think Audi will save the day by producing a ripsnorting motogp bike for cal to take on the world with. Sadly I think that's wrong. Audi will be currently too busy with the problem of making Ducati a profitable business to worry about their racing exploits. I think Cal's made a huge error - I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
I heard they'd be having their own little race on the Saturday before the GP, the way ensuring at least a top five finish
I don't think stoner could do much better on the current bike than Dovi or Nicky. If cal is going to do well next year they need to get the bike working, it shouldn't be too hard all they need is the right people and plenty of money I can't understand why it's taking so long to get the bike right somebody at ducati needs a massive kick up the arse
the only direction they should go in is back to the drawing board at square one.. fair play that theyve even got a team when you compare them to the might of Honda, but i find the motogp manufacturer involvement quite depressing...theres only honda, yam and ducati... financially moving to ducati will be great for Cal, but i fear he will end up 7th, 8th, 6th, 4th, 7th, off, pole then 8th..you get the idea..then end up in back wsbk with melandri.
Too right suzuki are cowards for waiting to 2015 when the bike is clearly well on its way to being ready
I dont think they are cowards... just probably waiting to see if dorna fuck with the regs again b4 commiting more cash to a project lol
They're finishing maybe 10 or 20 seconds behind the leaders after 20+ laps at full race pace, that means they're only tenths of seconds behind the fastest bikes, but that's enough to leave them wallowing behind semi-works teams and only just ahead of the faster CRT bikes. To make up those couple of tenths takes a huge amount of effort and a huge amount of money. People moaned at Rossi for trying to make the bike like a Yamaha, but that's exactly what's needed to compete with the best. The Ducati needs a major redesign, potentially disregarding all previous traditions about engine configuration or chassis type. I don't think Ducati are prepared to do that.
Na just cheap arse cowards lol lets hope the new regs make the racing better cos watching a battle for 4th or 5th isn't quite the same as watching a battle for the win
I believe there are concerns about Dorna's proposed use of a control ECU that put back the Suzuki's debut. Don't know the ins and outs, but the decision to wait a year was a deliberate poke in Dorna's eye.
But they must have already spent a fortune developing it it seems pointless not racing it unless there waiting for the new gsxr1000 to be ready then there going to claim they developed the bikes together.
So there's a new ecu reg. everyone is in the same boat by the time suzuki are ready to go racing the regs will probably have changed a few more times. We seriously need more manufacturers on the grid lets hope aprilia will get more involved there doing a good job in CRT as it is
I can't remember where I read it, but Suzuki were ready to go for 2014 until Dorna piped up about forthcoming regs (it was definitely to do with the ecu, again I can't remember the details). Whatever it was the Suzuki engineers took enough umbrage to say a big fuck you to Dorna, and put the debut back a year. The bike's ready to go, it's Dorna's fault it won't be on the grid next year.
