  1. Doesn't matter what they are I take those fuckers out every day on battlefield with my RPG's and javelins , yes I am a badass engineer with a repair tool , sorry I digressed .

  2. hmmm, i wonder what wriggling cameron is going to do to get our lads over there..some international accord or other..dont be surprised if british troops end up over there for 'technical reasons', and our 'friends' in the UN putting pressure on us to do our bit..all orchestrated of course.
politicians are war mongers..especially when theyre playing with other peoples lives and theres money, control and prestige to be had.

  3. I am glad Parliament vetoed Camerons latest attempt at climbing up the American's asses over Syria. America is not our great mate and the Syrian problem is not solvable by the west and we are stupid to think otherwise.
Building a better relationship with Russia might be a road to go down if we want to cosy up to a super power.

  4. Like I said earlier, British troops have been mobilised and are heading for Cyprus this weekend. You don't have to be a genius to work out why.

  5. Some people keep saying the Iraq war of 2003 was "illegal", but they rarely explain what they mean by this. Attached is a link to the legal advice provided secretly to the British government by the Attorney General at the time, Lord Goldsmith QC, on 7 March 2003. It is dissects the legal position in detail, and shows how the prospective invasion would be legal in terms of United Nations resolutions. This advice has never yet been shown to have been incorrect - but if anyone wishes to try, go right ahead.

  6. You don't have to be a genius to know that armed forces have to train, plan, and prepare for all possible contingencies. Most of those contingencies never arise - but sometimes they do, and occasionally at very short notice.

  7. dont you blow up shit in one and get blown up to shit in the other?

  8. To pile in if the Syrian government decide to hold British passport holders as hostages?

I think Dave likes his job too much to go against Parliament and send in the troops without getting it passed in a Commons vote.

  9. Really? I'm not going and I'm on 5 days ntm?

  10. I'd be surprised if the RAF Regiment aren't throwing a few more bodies into Cyprus to protect their 'assets' but not much else. I don't want them knocking a Typhoon over because I spent a lot of time on that when it was not much more than an overblown Airfix model with a code number.

  11. Maybe they don't need you

And yes my friends son was told on Thursday that he was going this weekend

  12. Out of interest what unit?

  13. I've not read up on this Syrian conflict as I've been avoiding the news cuz it just winds me up most of the time. But I have to say it smacks of someone wanting foreign forces to get involved for their own ends. If they are having a civil war let them get on with it, don't involve us. Most of the UK population are conflict weary and as we keep getting told by our masters in parliament the public purse is empty. Unless it makes the PM look good to the yanks, then we can find some!

  14. I thought they were all for demolishing things and killing people. But I'm happy to be corrected. I'm a military ignoramus.

  15. No one wants to send troops into Syria, not the US or France or UK, want they want to do is send some cruise missiles and targeted bombs into some strategic targets, such as Syrian Forces HQ, artillary and comms sites, and ammo dumps, so as to send a "message" to Assad and Co, and they definately don't want to hit the chemical weapon stores for obvious reasons. Don't you fella's get any decent news over there?

  18. I love that right now all you need to type in Google is "Does" and it immediately suggests "Does Syria have oil?".....

Ever get the feeling we all know something without it needing to be said out loud??.
