Been looking at property for sale in the Outer Hebrides . Some seriously nice places up there for bargain money….one day.
took motorcycle battery back to Halfords, ordered one from Tayna as Halfords no longer selling YTX14H Yuasa anymore or would have swapped. Price was better and postage worked out only slightly more.
Northern Vendee region, going in the van, putting the Cat N rebuilt Versys in the back for getting around on
Just finished the BSB season finale at Brands Hatch. I hate sidecars ...... they are bloody heavy and the gravel at Clarkes is bloody deep That's it now until Oulton Park in May 2025 Andy
Lots of brownie points earned this weekend. Insulated the loft, cut up the old water tank and disposed off. Fitted two new curtain poles, and two new lights in the lounge/dining room. Put up a shelf in one of the spare rooms. A very cold dog walk. A very tiring , but productive weekend and most importantly a very happy wife .
makes my back ache just to read that ^ you must be fit! You just casually say:- "insulated the loft" !! I will never forget doing mine in Woking, it took me at least two weeks, I did use thick fibreglass wool though with full Hazmat substitute gear (i think i used a full-face crash helmet, which wasn't the norm back then). Had to tie it all in with nylon rope before the panelling. Also getting an old water tank out can be back-breaking also if on your own, and that was only half of your "errands"!
I'm spending the weekend in Athens, seriously impressed...nice vibe in the artistic quarter, and the ruins are super interesting.
That was definitely the worst part. I had a paper suit on from Screwfix with mask googles and gloves . Five rolls of 150mm insulation. Had to stop a couple of times as the googles were wet on the inside with sweat . Cut the old plastic water tank up into four parts with a handheld four inch grinder , only took about 10 mins . Won't be late to bed tonight, I'm 50 now but still 25 in my head !
