I do agree....I was amongst the first to buy....full retail...no discount...but as they hung around in the dealers they started to get discounted as the dealers didn't want that amount of money sitting there in one bike....I bought mine from Greens, they sold 3 in total....the other 2 were sold with loads of freebies.....I think they threw in a kids mini moto & other stuff!! That didn't p1ss me of much......oh yes it did!!! Lol!!
There seems to be very little turnover of privately owned used bikes at the moment if the forum classifieds is anything to go by. If you're going to buy a bike costing several thousands, unless you've had a PPI windfall (like a lucky few) or have inherited, I suspect that most will go to dealers as they'll want to part-ex and probably a degree of credit. Also, there's the uncertainty of whether the bike is a "dog" or has "uncertain history", so you judge whether the price of a private sale balances out in cost over the advantages of a warranty/aftersales service etc.
F*** me, how did you get that, i told the Mrs to secure our dropbox folder with the fetish files !!!! ;-)
What was the difference between a foggy and a 996SPS ? DUCATI 996 SPS * 16500 MILES * OHLINS * TERMI * GENUINE SPS * LOOK !!!!!!!!!!!!! | eBay
Personally i would mothball it....Imagine the fuss when foggy snuffs it...a pretty penny to be made from cashing in on his death. Wait till then, and mop up.
If thats the case why not rebrand it as a David Frost bike - easy money, right here, right now! You have not been charged for this piece of brilliant marketing advice
i thought he dies years ago..? Im gonna google this coz i never know when youre up to a bit of your usual plonker pulling (so to speak)..
I saw that one earlier and was kicking myself a bit as thats not much over what I paid a few months back for a 2000 996 biposto after I bought it up to date with major service, chain, sprockets etc.
