Stripped the carb off Sons Aprillia as it wouldn’t start after such a long layoff, stripped the carb down cleaned refitted and running now ready for it’s MOT asap. Hoping for a kindly Monday slot as it’s been so long since he’s ridden something with both an engine and wheels as he’s gotten used to snowmobiles and Moonbikes whilst working. Hopefully good weather holds for a while longer.

I'd be curious as to why you got shot of the 748R? I'm toying with the idea of selling all the bikes (4 of) and buying either a 748R or a 996R as a 'one off precious' bike that is used a lot less...
Today I pulled the injectors out of the 748 and I hope that they are blocked. I will see if I can get these checked and cleaned and hopefully that will sort it. I changed the fuel filter last week then managed about half a mile before it stopped again, it was a long, hot push back home...
Try connecting a spray can of carb cleaner to the injector with a pipe, and then cycle the injector with a power supply. You will see if there is any blockage
The bargain gpr exhausts arrived today, just need some shorter link pipes fabricated and they will look mint on the radical!
Booked Sons Aprilia in for it’s MOT, bought and fitted a new rear brake light switch and generally checked it over in preparation for it.
Yesterday, my brother, my son, and i, rode to the meeting point for the IBCC Inspire 25 event, had a rather large group ride from Woody's Bar, near Ancaster, left at 10:00am, arrived at the IBCC at 10:45, the field in the pic below, was ramned with bikes by noon, quite a number left not long after the Lancaster did the flyby
