There were actually 5 vapour trails - and a couple more behind me. No aircraft sound and by the time I got the phone out, 2 had disappeared. Mostly what we get over here are Typhoons and Tornadoes, and the occasional B1s and B52s. Usually they're very loud. Part of me always wonders if 'this time' we're at war. The building's the top of Regents Arcade, where the Gloster E28/39, our first jet, was - for a time - made.
