Cleaned bike and gave it a check over ahead of a ride across Wales and back again tomorrow. Looking forward to that.
Give us a wave Approx Cheltenham, Ledbury, Hereford, Kington, Builth Wells, Rhyadder, Devils Bridge, Machynlleth, Newtown, Clun, Knighton, Leominster, Bromyard, Ledbury and back to Cheltenham. About 280 miles.
I’m going Malvern, Leominster, Ludlow, Craven arms, Montgomery, Mallwyd, Barmouth then back to Malvern some other way so we will probably miss each other. Have fun.
Not you are heading that far deeper into Shropshire but one/two of my favourite roads although all too short is the Ludlow or the Craven Arms to Much Wenlock, although if you do be very aware of the speed limits through the villages as you may encounter multiple roadside speed checks.
275 miles done today on the Pani. Saw lots of Ducati’s out, no idea if any were Bumpkin or not. I acknowledged all of them but only some acknowledged me back (you know how funny Ducati riders are ). Bike came back with no rattles or anything loose for a change too!
Gave up nodding yonks ago, never did feel the need to. No wasn’t out riding today so not me not nodding.
The local injector cleaning place is so cheap to inspect and clean them with new o rings it's barely worth buying another tin of carb cleaner, so they have been dropped off there
Replaced the headlight plug for one that wasn't melted.. Then went to the Creg ny Baa and back "just to check it works"
Pretty well the same milage. Felt completely knackered last night, better this morning. Blimey, I'm not bike fit and am off on a 10 day, 2500 mile, tour in a month... Only saw one Panigale, riding solo going the opposite direction, can't recall where... Would have made a mental note had I known that's what you were on. I would have acknowledged you but might have only been an exaggerated nod. Got rained on heavily in closing stages through mid East Wales and Shropshire. Need to fashion some elasticated loops for my Scott overtrousers. Interface between those and my mid length Daytona boots is lacking... Had a good day, five of us, I was the only Ducati.
Nope, no change to the wattage but it was 30 years old - reading up it's not if they melt, it's when.
Often over a long period the spades work loose on the terminals and can create heat. Cut back the existing loom to good copper wire. Replace with a ceramic upgrade kit and correctly splice the leads to the existing harness.
I did see a couple of groups with only one Ducati amongst them, a pikes peak in one and a light coloured one in the other. Luckily I out ran the rain on the way back.
Hmm - I'll be 87 ! Not going to sell it though until I have to - it was "bought for me" by my late mother in law - I had one in the 90's and was in the process of buying this one while she was at end of life care for cancer - and she told my Mrs to buy it for me from the cash in her estate.
