Hi All. Having been very happy with the Trail IIs and would fit again, I am curious to tap into peoples knowledge and experience if there is a better option? For clarity I never go near a proper trail, lol, she's my sport tourer for events, shows, etc at distances I wouldn't do on the GSX S1000. Kindest Regards Richard
I would, given your use, be inclined to go for a sport touring tyre; decent grip, wet/cold weather performance and reasonable life. There are numerous brands and models available, you might be limited by the size requirements for your bike. My favourite in this category of tyre is the Michelin Road6 and have been running these, and previously the Road5, on both of my Multistradas for the last 7 years.
Hi and thanks for the reply, Yes I have always liked Michelin, got the Pilots on the Suzy. One further question - do you stick to the bikes recommended psi or did Michelin advise otherwise? Thanks again. Richard
A Michelin rep did quote me some figures once, these were for the Road5s and specifically for the Multi 1260, but I do still use them as a guide. 34F, 38R solo 36F, 40R solo + luggage 36F, 42R two up + luggage Std handbook pressures are 36F, 36R solo 36F, 42R with luggage and/or pillion Might be worth verifying these for your model.
