Decided to kill some time doing a bit of light green laning, but this happened. It took me over an hour of exhausting exertion to get it free and then when I finally did, I was running it up the steep side of the crater that I’d found myself trapped in, trotting alongside the bike under power, when I lost my footing which caused my my right hand to yank the throttle back while my left slipped off the clutch. That caused a massive wheelie which turned into a backflip, the bike landed on top of me and knocked me backwards down the slope. What fun
Putting my new MRA Gold subscription to use creating routes for our Scotland trip. Skye to Knock Hill looks to be a challenging ride, as does Knock Hill to Applecross. 200 miles each way, through highlands and alongside lochs. The scenery should be stunning and hopefully the weather will allow us to enjoy it. Andy
Yeah. In their infinite Andalusian wisdom, Gas Gas didn't bother fitting an ignition barrel, which means that any Tom Dick or Harry can just jump on, kick start it and ride off into the sunset, so it needs to be locked up every time I pay for petrol or whatever. I think the Lite Lok is pretty light tbh, certainly when compared to a chain, plus it's easier to carry and being able to link them together is a bonus.
I have a lite lok 2, my mate has a lite lok1, the 1 is quite a bit lighter, it doesn’t link to a 2 tho because they have changed the shape of the lock. He had to buy a 2! They are good and can roll up quite tight to throw in my tail bag
That’s useful to know because I think I’ve lost the pair to the one shown in the pic and was going to buy another.
Received a new battery for the 999. Ordered a new injector for the SS - not because I need one but because they appear to be almost as rare as rocking horse shit. Ordered a siphon hand pump. And got an email from the (Chinese, obviously) company asking, if there's a problem with the pump, not to give a negative review, but contact them to sort it out. Well the pump is so basic it'd have to be really shoddy not to work. And you think, do they expect it not to work? Or work briefly then fall apart? And if customers accede to this, the product could be shite but you couldn't tell from the reviews! I can't decide whether they're just not up to speed with free enterprise yet, or actually they've got it sussed. I've previously had an East Asian - didn't look like a particularly Chinese name to me, but from the vicinity - email me to ask not to give a negative review; but the product was perfectly good anyway. I stepped on rocking horse shit once, long ago. I turned my ankle.
