Cush Rubbers Installation Depth – Ducati Monster 696 (2010)

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Niall Bowler, Jun 15, 2025.

  1. Hi all,
Just looking for a bit of support. My mechanic recently replaced the cush rubbers on the rear wheel of my 2010 Ducati Monster 696.
In the first picture I took, the old rubbers appear flush with the outer edge of the wheel. In the second picture, they are new and they’re pushed in as far as the stop plate at the back of the recess.
Could you clarify which is correct should the cush rubbers sit flush with the outer edge, or be fully pressed in until they reach the stop at the back?

Thanks in advance for the help!
