Hi all, towards the end of last year, hard security manufacturer Pragmasis was set to close after 21 years. We (at Two Tyres) had been retailing their products for a few years, and we rated their kit. We didn't want to see Pragmasis go and so we reached an agreement with Steve, the founder of Pragmasis to buy the business. I'm delighted to say we're back up and running. We have a new website: https://securityforbikes.com and stock is almost back to normal. We have security chains available and a new batch of Roundlocks, DIB D-locks and Torc ground anchors are almost ready. We are looking at reinstating the Anti-Pinch Pins and we're currently prototyping a new product which we hope to have Sold Secure approved and on sale ASAP. If there's anything you need, or if you have any questions about the products and suitability, please drop me a PM and I'll do my best to help you out. Thanks, Ben
Having just had a bike nicked and the trauma of making an insurance claim, then apply for new insurance on a replacement bike….. blah blah blah. I am curious to know if your products are firmly established on the insurance “security device” approved list.
Whilst I haven’t bought any Pragmasis products, having read both posts I’d definitely would, if there is a product I need in the future. Equipment that is designed and made in the UK is in my opinion desirable. Well done Two Tyres
Hi Paul, sorry to hear that. The insurance list is a bit of a joke. It's rarely updated and contains lots of stuff no longer made, or perhaps assessed to an old standard. There is no single central list. However pretty much everything we sell is Sold Secure Motorcycle Gold approved, some of it Diamond. Lots of brands / companies selling on Amazon etc are happy to state their stuff is Sold Secure Gold but when you look closer it's perhaps Bicycle Gold or might have even been tested and approved years ago, we're talking over a decade ago! You should be able to get a list from your insurance company as to what they class as approved. I think Bennetts are the most up to date with their list.
