(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

  1. A breakfast meeting with some friends, I went on my 765 as not used it for a couple of weeks. Came home and started preparing for 10 days across Europe, leaving next saturday . Satnav mounted , pillion seat and luggage straps fitted . A couple of carbon parts removed and originals refitted .

  2. Ha nice guys, the owner of the Bayliss was telling me he paid £11.5k for it with less than 1k miles on it off “a mate”.
Don’t know if that’s what stopped him getting out of third gear all day and progressing through any kind of traffic but we’ve all been there at some point I guess.

  9. Just done belts on the S2r, I was going to change the tensioner bearings but I couldn't get the old ones off. They spun and it's booked in for the MoT tomorrow so they'll be done later.
Then had a panic as I pressed the starter and nothing happened. Checked all the fuses and relays then remembered that it was in gear...

  10. I did that yesterday - side stand down!

  11. And the S2r passed the MoT with a quite embarrassingly low number of miles between the last one from 2023...

The injectors in the 748 have been refitted after the new one had been checked and now that's all back together now. Just need another battery to see if it's running again (fed up swapping my only battery between bikes :joy:)

Not today, but Sunday, I taught my eldest boy to ride. Well, I say “I taught him”, when he pretty much taught himself. I just told him what the controls do, got him to watch how I pull away using the clutch, change gear and brake, warned him not to rush any inputs, then told him to crack on and off he went. :motorcycleduc:

  13. Lowered the pots again, track day cherry (on a bike) popped, should have done this years ago but always said to myself I was too stupid to be let loose on a track on two wheels... bad enough on four hahaha but that was some immense fun & first time got the knees doon in 30 years since I was a loon(atick)

  15. Rode down to Moto Rapido for the Scrambler’s post run in service, heated grips and quick shifter fitted and rode home. OMG, they have turned it into a hooligan :joy: Can’t believe the difference having the full rev range and the QS. I think I’m more likely to get pulled on the Scrambler than I am on the V4 Pikes Peak. Just love this bike :D Andy
