Campervans With Motorbikes

  1. If you already have a towbar, use B, it clamps on

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  2. The clamp is only secured with one bolt, which seems a bit sketchy. Also, presumably that means the trailer will pivot around the tow ball rather than staying lined up with the wheels?

  3. We had a towbar mounted bike rack, with 4 bikes on it, it secured on with a single bolt, it didn't move at all, could even stand on it with no movement

  4. I don’t have written instructions, I seem to remember watching their YouTube video several times.

The part with Square tube I bolted to the tow hitch having removed the tow ball.

  5. Part C is used to secure the tray in position, mine has a chain connected to it.

  6. I don’t recognise Parts B & H

  7. Was that someone light though or you?

  9. Has anyone ever thought of making use of a disability vehicle with the ramp already built in at the back for what would be a wheelchair/mobility scooter? I was thinking they may be straight forward to convert but length/height may be tight

  10. Quite a weight delta is it not? Mind you, some of the heffers you see on those mobility contraptions, maybe not. Some of em must weigh about the same as a Goldwing.

Plus I think your ‘conversion’ would soon be making an appearance in the ‘Sheds’ thread on here  Don’t do it!!

  11. Thanks. I thought so. I’ll use that rather than B which looks as if it will put a lot of twisting force through the tow ball. Hopefully I should be able to work out the rest from you tube videos

  12. Zhed46 - if in dire necessity, you could borrow my bike trailer again. So long as you bring it back ...

  13. Thanks Pete - that’s really kind - but you probably don’t recall that I bought a MotoLug not long after that time I borrowed yours. I’ve still got it, but for current use (van-lifing) I need a transverse set up which doesn’t jack knife.

  14. I had forgotten that. MotoLug are good, aren't they?

  16. Take plenty of money for fuel :joy:

  17. I am swapping my one bed flat on wheels for an ex-ambulance…… it’s a time of life thing….. :punch:

  18. I don’t recognise those parts either.
Mine certainly did not have them.

  19. Every time I see a filthy Iveco I want to write mass (Iveco) ck with my finger in the dirt.

And now that I’ve pointed it out, you’ll never be able to unsee it… soz.. :imp:

    Very childish, I know :D

  20. Oh god. There is a guy that’s often at Donny with an old ambulance. Ideal for a bike and sleeping in. But. Just a bit morbid.
