(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

  1. The Old Sun Inn is a nice pub to sit outside, good beer choice and you can watch the bikes whizz past.

  2. Frost just notified new stock POR15 in, which I just ordered. Meanwhile I think it's time to give up on trying to get a new 999 left rear indicator, or even an amber lens. Or even used ones.

  3. Really?
When I needed one last summer, I can't remember if left or right, I just rode up to Snells as they had one in stock.
Moto Rapido had also told me they had stock but I prefer the roads on the way to and from Snells.

I think I've got a whole rear light unit in my container from a Multi 1000.
I'll try to look later to see what the left lens is like.
    .

  4. Ok. Thanks, I'd appreciate it.

Part of my problem may be doing this all from a mobile phone and not right now having running transport. And getting sluggish and impatient in the heat.

  5. I went to Snells, once, when I lived in Basingstoke. Don't remember what for. Loved the A33 to Alton. Then right, past Farringdon, left for Steep. I used to go to Hayling just as an excuse to ride that route.

Pretty sure this was at Bentley.

  7. Yes I got asked that but I didn't fancy combining my work stuff and my leisure piursuits.

  8. all things considered, i think it's worth the risk. and besides, the lil spare time i have i just know i aint gonna find the time to go looking for a quote. it was dear enough before and with me not being insured for nearly two years it's got to be worth a punt.

  10. I figured that out. Eventually.

  11. Pro-twins.! i'm there in a few weeks time for some work on the bikes.

  12. Finally had the TPMS sensors fitted yesterday, they only took 3 months to arrive. Sent the map to BHP, so they can work their magic.

  13. Rode down to Frome then over to Weston and back up home. Went through Bristol on the way back, I can’t think why I thought that was a good idea, it’s hell to drive through with the 20 zones, millions of signs everywhere and cameras. The standard of driving is terrible too, I had a woman come flying round a blind bend completely on the wrong side of the road head on towards me. Shit me self.

  14. Spot on about Bristol driving! Worst place I've ever lived in (37 yrs) for shit drivers. All now made even worse by the worst traffic management too;)

  15. Yeah I guess the traffic management is designed to make using a motor vehicle as unpleasant as possible (and it works)

  16. It's not too bad as a local on 2 wheels, but I never take the car into the city!

  17. I drove through Bristol last Friday, it wasn’t that bad. The most scariest thing was the restricted ceiling height of the underground car park at the Marriott, 1.97m in a van of 2m. How it didn’t scrape the roof was a miracle

  18. Fitted a new front tyre to the Mt09, those S22s don’t get any easier to get off the rim.

  19. Days 2, 3 and 4 of our Scottish sojourn. Day 2, Buxton to Moffat best glossed over, 200 miles of road works, road closures, heavy rain and 20⁰ cooler. Day 3, Moffat to Glencoe, 190 miles of pissing rain and 12⁰C. Day4, Glencoe to Skye, after being up most of the night with the runs, 165 miles of freezing rain and a sore bum. Notwithstanding, the Scrambler is awesome and the Dunlop Roadsmart 4s have cope brilliantly. Dunfermline tomorrow and Knock Hill BSB at the weekend. Andy
