It used to make for amusing reading i can remember, and confirms how the (possibly obsessional) thought of obtaining money can drive some people temporarily insane.
My Daughter has one that kinda spells part of her name, I have no idea how much she paid. Her Audi came with a PP but that’s on retention now. A business associate paid 20k for S1GNS years ago in an auction, flipping ridiculous IMO.
The lengths people go to to make a plate read like a word is amazing. My fave is XXXX BMW. Oh it’s a BMW? I’d never have known. It’s already on several badges on the car so why the fook have you paid a few hundred quid for that? Mental.
if they raise a laugh on a bleak day then i don't mind some, but agree on the prices. 25K!! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16760476...7RNETA&hash=item270605d0d6:g:nYkAAOSwSPNnCk8x
Yesterday not today. As I’m in Ireland for work I took the opportunity to make a pilgrimage to Schull to visit @West Cork Paul shed shrine along the WAW and parts of cycle route 1. Here are some piccies
Private plates go to play a more serious role than just one simply of vanity. Undertakers use them to hide the age of their fleet as do some bus companies and hauliers. Some private folk do the same so as not to play ‘I’ve got a brand new car’ game and hide the value of their car. Some other folk see this as an act of pure snobbery.
Screwfix often have stuff like that and also B&Q is really good for all sorts of bits bobs... plus they have customer toilets. Useful for a gentleman of a certain age... ahem...
I've put some fence art up to tart the garden up. There'll be more as and when I receive it over the next few days.
Miles away though - and I'm currently off the road. B&M were also other side of Cheltenham, but the others were a short walk (I do walk pretty much everywhere anyway. It's a forced minimum amount of exercise, is useful for practicing bladder control, and frequently offers some kind of semi secluded spot in case I really did drink too much coffee! Anyway there's something organic about pissing up a tree behind Sainsbury's, I find!)
He-he-he - additionally all vegetation at the moment is probably grateful for any moisture it can get.
Thanks for looking. I just took the Ducati Performance mirror/flashers over and looked at them in situ (more or less) for the first time and maybe I will use them. They've got clear lenses with orange bulbs. I can't tell whether I think the originals are just right, as an integral part of Terblanche's total vision, or I just can't imagine anything different? But they are part of the design rather than something aftermarket bolted on. I'll just have to see how they look when it's all bolted back together. Seems to me modern faired Ducatis are heavily influenced by Terblanche's designs. Or his example. Just without the under/over headlight arrangement.
https://www.museumsworcestershire.org.uk/museums/the-commandery/ This was good. Irealised that I should improve my knowledge of British history. It all was going on in Worcester!
Does anybody have a NEW rear n/s indicator spare that they don't need for the above motorcycle.?, mine looked like this when i returned from my MOT on monday morning.
Tivoli Trading on Andover Rd, amazes me what you can find in there, one of those old school rabbit warren shops. I reckon they'll have them. Granted the wrong side of town for you, still in Cheltenham though. Can pop in an check if you like, it's only across the road from me.
I appreciate the offer, but I got my sis to order me a pack of three. I went into town to JD Sports for football shorts and they don't appear to have anything remotely like what I want. I'll have to check if that place near the big Tesco's still there. Years since I've noticed it anyway.
Rode up Mont Ventoux, fair play to all the cyclists going up . Lovely area of France . As usual some amazing roads with a surface as good as a race track .
