News to me today that this is a thing. Appeared to be a useful to keep track of all my bikes & one car in one place and the Gov knows it all anyway Tried to sign up but first needed a 'GOV.UK One' login, so went through the rigmarole of that. Wow, a reaonably thorough security check using my passport. Face scan (not just a photo) by the GOV.UK One phone app to check with my current passport photo and, as I have a biometric passport, the phone app sucked the info from that too. Modern gimmickery at its best that I don't mind as I'm not a criminal! For those with limited computer/phone skills it'd be a nightmare I guess. Anyway, after all that, I entered my car reg to add it to my account. Bang - straight in - no other buttons to press. Started to put my first bike reg in and I get asked for the logbook details. I stopped there as I need to gather all bikes details. What a pain - the bloody DVLA know all my vehicles' details so why can't they add them automatically or at least without challenging me FFS? I wrote some comprehensive feedback... Anyway - maybe worth a look
Interesting, however if it uses the same UX as the rest of the gov tools I’ll pass. I’ve used both custodian and Gapless, still using Gapless to track expenditure, services mots etc.
Most, if not all UX and backend has been designed by external parties (primarily Indian tech groups) which don't go through proper testing. It's cheap and broken most of the time as a result.
