  1. if it was me i would have stopped for razorblades on the way home, but then again, those are probably obsolete/unobtainable now.

  5. stretched a few tendons allthough still not nearly enough, then watched around 3 laps of the British GP before reverting back to "Narrow Escapes" on the same channel.

just remembered, I also literally rescued a damsel in distress, which was actually the highlight of the week apart from going to Newlands yesterday.

  6. I thought that there London was supposed to be expensive? We had two ‘99’s yesterday too……..£7 up in Morpeth in Northumberland!

  7. Never seen one like this before. Had to have it.

Needs a bloody good clean, a mechanical once over to find out if its got looming hassles (don't they all?) and a face lifting interior revamp. I'm dusting off my skill saw and have made an appointment at Jewsons!

  10. It's a -hopefully trusty- Vivaro. I've never seen one in this configuration, but this is -or perhaps was?- a factory option. A pretty rare thing methinks.

Its got a ropey, rough & tired conversion that needs some creative thinking and carpentry. The forecast is for fun and swearing!

  12. Hahaha!

Looking for an escape vehicle has already sabotaged my bike rebuild thread. Although a rather nice set of forks has turned up and are in the waiting lounge...

  13. As I sit here on my ash guitar stool that makes the 999 seat feel plush by comparison, beside the 999, looking down at that sexy front end that makes me want to see the tarmac zipping by beneath and the clock reading triple figures, I think, yes, a Ducati is an essential part of existence.

And I wonder am I in a niche subset that doesn't think so is a mini and a camper van?

Anyway, having returned my Chelsea shorts - in such perfect condition even to the extent of having got them out without 'opening' or damaging the box in any way - yesterday I found another pair delivered. Only in a box barely held together with sellotape. Rereading the multiple emails from Adidas I see they acknowledged that I was to be refunded, in full, to my card. Should it turn out I've inadvertently got a free pair of Chelsea shorts, I still don't want shorts that come down to my knees. My thighs are far too pretty to be covered unnecessarily.

While I've been typing this I've had a message from Royal Mail saying they were unable to deliver my package. Then, when I've barely finished thinking, so, yeah, you'll deliver it tomorrow whether I'm in or not, I get another email from them saying they've delivered my package to my safe place.

Is it the same package? Who can tell? Logic, for example, doesn't come into it. Besides which if they'd shoved a package up my arse I'd know about it, I wouldn't need them to email me.

  14. By sexy front end I do mean from the rider's point of view.

  15. And now I've got an update on my order from MSP (999 gear pedal, £155. On the internet they can't see you cry). Tracking link, that sort of thing.

    It was delivered June 30th.

  16. I got another letter from the taxman telling me I've failed to pay even more tax. Nope, your inadequate system has failed to collect it.

  17. I recall seeing a few of those at a leasing company but can’t for the life of me recall who the end user was. It’s really bugging me now, I would say a coach work company did that for the factory. It’ll be done to a very high standard that’s for sure.

    Enjoy your new purchase.

  18. Thanks!

The work is really well done. Making the molds for the fibreglass must have been quite a job in itself. If you didn't know the side wasn't metal you would assume it was -just like all the thousands of Vivaros running about.

Sometimes I'm a bit of an attention whore when it comes to vehicles, so any excuse and open the side up and immediately I get fans and questions. One guy today took pics to post. Hahaha.

  20. I did some photography for the place I volunteer at as it was their Summer Fair. Some good weather but some real downpours. These are a couple of my favourites.
