999 Ecu Tune

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Colinmeadows, Jul 8, 2025.

  1. I'm fitting a termi slip on to my 999 this week and as I don't have matching ecu were in lancashire is there to take it for tuning, or should I wait until I ditch the cat ?

  2. If you're going to ditch the cat or make any other changes to the exhaust/intakes etc. then I'd wait and get it all mapped just the once.

No idea in Lancashire but I'd recommend Chris at CJS racing; https://www.cjsracing.co.uk/ being near Bristol, it's a bit of a trek but worth it IMO.

  3. I've a spare no-CAT front Header pipe to fit a Deep Sump engine and later Black swingarm if you are looking to purchase one.

  4. How much ?

  5. @Colinmeadows , you need this to go with the termi back box. The two pieces normally come together.

  6. I'll dig it out later and see if it's in as good condition as I remember.

  8. Termi is now fitted , it's a 54mm can so had to get a couple of adapters to mate it to stock system 20250709_154239.jpg

  9. Did you dig it out ?

  10. Sorry, discovered I'd put it in my storage container, but dug it out this evening.

It's in really good condition and looks to have been hardly used.

I've never had it on my 999, it came to me with an exhaust system but I already had a de-CAT pipe on the bike so didn't use this.

Posted within the normal UK limits, £120.

  14. Bit far for a pick up !, message me your details and I'll pay you when I finish work. Just to double check it does fit 999 with deep sump and later swingarm ?

  15. Hi.
Yep, it's exactly the same as the one on my 2005 deep sump 999 with the later Black swing arm.

    Will message you some details.

  16. Great

  17. Hi,
I'd recommend Damien at Daytuner Performance near Harrogate. He did the ECU mapping on my 2006 999 which I converted to 1038 with a kamna kit. He got 15% increase in power and 12% uplift in torque and it runs as sweet as a nut. He knows his stuff and is one of the most enthusiastic guys I've ever met. Money well spent
    Craig.

  18. This is the map I had on my 2006 999 with Termi slip on (including horizontal de-cat pipe): 28640801L

I would advise you do your research as it was installed when I purchased the bike. :upyeah:

I used the GuzziDiag software to connect to the bike: https://www.von-der-salierburg.de/download/GuzziDiag/

    You need these versions:
    IAW5xReader V0.28 (5AM, 59M)
    IAW5xWriter V0.24 (5AM, 59M)
