Brutally honest from pecco ahead of this weekend.. https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/1...he-said-after-calling-ducati-motogp-engineers
I don't understand why he hasn't had a go back on a '24 bike when he's struggling so much on the '25. Clearly the '24 is fast enough with AM on board... ...and why can't he run the big fuel tank in the sprint race if this is 'the problem'?
Why would ducati want/let him go back a year after all the £££ they’ll have pumped into developing the gp25 bike? My moneys on he’s had a wake up call from ducati “management” along the lines of “Marc can manage it, if you can’t with the same tools, we’ll find someone else who can get closer to him than you currently are”. (Which will probably be 93s brother.) Hence pecco eating even more humble pie and admitting he has to adapt better.
I think he needs to stay positive. He is still collecting points and trophies and is currently in P3 in the championships. Who knows what will unfold. Just stay on the bike and bringing it home in P3 - and make Alex the target. Marc is already out of reach except for some misfortune, so dial that out, move on from that for now - and quit with the negative waves !
As far as I know the 2025 engine mounting points are different, so will not fit the 24 frame, so unable to run as a 2024 bike. Once engines are locked that’s it for the season, So Pecco has had no choice but to persevere with the 25 bike. AM has found out how good the 2024 bike is by his performance this season ,and MM is also showing that he can get the best out of anything. I’d rather it wasn’t him climbing the top step every weekend but there is no doubt that he has a superhuman talent.
Not sure how he’s gone from second this morning, to seventeenth and going through q1 tomorrow a few hours later but here we are. Hopefully he can use that extra track time (assuming he goes through) to good use like Baltus did at Assen.
I always feel Ogden needs to get a bit more race savvy when I watch him and in that I mean get his fucking elbows out and start riding into the side of other riders like they do to him. Like watching a public schoolboy trying to fight the council estate bully’s.
As feared, this season has turned in to a snooze fest. I have been subscribing to motogp.com for a lot of years now, my wife watches it too, which has made it reasonable value to us. Already questioning if we will bother next year. Lacking close racing and Ducati/Marc too dominant.
Wsb will be a tough watch too next year unless something extraordinary happens with regards the gap between Bulega and the rest. I am looking forward to seeing Jorge back next week though, and seemingly with a smile on his face.
I just watch the highlights on YouTube, MM is unquestionably a level above everyone else on the grid. It’s a foregone conclusion that the championship is his, unless something catastrophic happens. All we’re watching is who’s first runner up, it isn’t quite boring but it’s very close to being, I certainly wouldn’t be paying to view the whole weekend notwithstanding I’ve better things to do with my time.
Too many MM haters on here. Probably ex Rossettes Some people don’t like it when he’s pissing it. MotoGP suddenly becomes boring… despite yesterday being super crashy with only 10 finishers. Me? I think MM is the greatest bike racer in my lifetime. I’m watching history in the making. I loved watching Rossi too, super entertaining racer. Not as good as Marquez though.
Sachsenring is an awesome track. Don’t blame the track because everyone trying to catch MM93 (who was cruising around controlling the race) crashed out trying to compete.
