  1. Good news indeed!

Very happy to know you're in good health and that if I have to have one of these endo thingamybobs its probably not going to hurt.

  2. That's good news Pete

  3. I had to cut short my campervan adventure...the alternator packed up, and it was too much of a risk to wander into extreme remote areas..made it back home ok (just o_O). So yesterday made a list of everything that needs proper attention...and before I knew it all the belts and waterpump were dismantled, along with the camshaft and the hydraulic tappets. Engine pulls well, but made such a tickity tappity racket I couldn't ignore it any longer. ;) Online parts prices seemed very reasonable compared to what the local garage would ask...:upyeah:

  4. ^all set for the next holiday, with an added guarantee of security/everything is Tickety Boo :upyeah:

you're right not to ignore "lazy "hydraulic tappets. On my little Volkswagen derivative, they pump up and go away after a short mileage but I'm always "on their case". I remember helping a friend's son on his Mercedes where he just ignored his hydraulic tappet loudly tapping for so many miles until it was too late and everything was wrecked.

  12. I had mine with gas and air as they couldn't get a vein for sedation
It's an uncomfortable procedure but doable
The worst is the pints of the salt drink before hand to clear you out :mask:

  13. Drove from the south of Spain up to Segovia. Once again I admired the work of the Romans, a 17 km aqueduct culminating in 167 unmortared granite arches supplying water flowing at 1 degree decent, to the city of Segovia. Unbelievable feat, around AD 98 - 117AD.

What did they ever do for us?

Today, Santander and the slow boat back to Portsmouth.

I’m looking forward to swinging my leg over my Multistrada and my Panigale.

  14. It is amazing what infrastructure can be put down when you have an army of indentured servants at your disposal.
The ancient pyramids of Egypt and the first attempt at digging the Corinth canal are just two fine examples.
To a lesser degree St Patrick, enslaved at an early age by Irish pirates and went on to chase all those pesky snakes off the land eventually becoming a prominent figure in the Christianization of Ireland.

Slaves, eh what ever did they do for us?

    Welcome home btw, safe journey.

  20. Personally i dont know....but i do find it hard to believe 50ton blocks of stone could be dragged from over 200 miles away...what i will say is that im open to any theory but the present theory is it wos done by 'da slaves' is a little hard to swallow but hey....could be, but im sceptical on that....
