  1. Any hints & tips as to how to replace the vertical idler pulley bearing? Just changed the belts and noticed a small amount of play. It's right behind the frame, so a twat to get to. 8mm allen I think? Can't see how you would torque it to spec as you can't get a torque wrench in there?

  2. I torque the horizontal idler then just do the vertical one by feel.

  3. Cut down the short leg of an allen key to make it shorter still and then just undo the bolt. Don't know what the torque figure is for re fitting the bolt, personally I'd use the key to tighten as far as is possible by hand then put an extension on the long leg and give it another eighth of a turn to nip it up. Maybe use a drop of threadlock but basically rely on "feel" and experience. Ultimately common sense and an avoidance of ham fisted brute force is the way.

  5. If you use a torque wrench in that method make sure it is 90 degrees to the wrench otherwise it'll act as a torque multplier.
