They really are pushing their luck. Fortunately I had all 5 letters from the get go with 2 correctly located. So it was just a case of trying the permutations. I never even knew this creature existed.

Whilst you are correct about the handing if you think about how the clothing would layer if we were to adopt the way our ladies do, the drawing of a sword would encounter the buttoned edge of the right hand side of the coat and possibly snag, giving our opponent an advantage. Whereas layering the clothing how we do presents no such possibility of obstruction to the drawing of a sword, or any other weapon.
