It's a thing, gives the diner the choice on where to tip it. Lots of preferences for folk, same as gravy I prefer it poured over just my veg.
That’s nothing. I’ve been to some places where they had chips on the menu for breakfast. I say had, as I burnt their business to the ground in rage.
Went to Wembley tonight for an evening of soothing melodies and relaxing ballads… Then had the pleasure of sharing the tube home with a loaded of pissed up and coked up boxing fans courtesy of Usyk’s efficiency.
Multistrada Mot’d, well truthfully it was Friday because I saw the forecast was for pissing rain all day Saturday, therefore avoid. The forecast was right, all bloody day, rain, rain, rain. I lifted the garage door, looked at the bike, grabbed a power tool and closed the door. That, was the full extent of my biking today. Went to see a friend’s new house. The decaf coffee couldn’t have been decaf because it’s now 3.42 and I’m a fully paid up member of the Wide Awake Club. F’ it.
When I first joined my company (25 years ago) I went for brekky with my boss and a couple of lads in London, they had chips for breakfast! I was both disgusted and gob smacked, they also ordered bubble and squeak!! When I questioned this and my reasoning that anything with chips is “tea” not breakfast. Also, I had to eat bubble and squeak when we were poor, in London it was looked at as a delicacy! I’ve never been able to correct their ways.
Nowt wrong with bubble lad. That would be in my plate too when available. Agree on chips though. That is rank.
Not today but Saturday. craned 3 boats in and one out, moved 2 unlicensed boats off the moorings ready for the river authorities to tow away and watched a spitfire fly over twice. The spitfire also flew over my house again on Sunday
Abandoned boats are becoming a huge issue everywhere, on inland waterways and around the coast, all the boating media is looking at it. The trouble is old composite boats are so difficult to scrap so owners just abandon them. We've even had them left in laybys around here. Once they are stripped of anything of value the only easily accessible answer at the moment is to slice the hull up for landfill. I'm currently keeping an eye on a couple of companies around the country who've found solutions, but sadly it still costs most owners several thousand pounds to dispose of a 20' boat properly. I wish I could come up with a solution and dedicate my last few years of working life to it.
Yes it’s a real problem, one that we moved was fibreglass and the other a Dutch barge so it’s steel which is obviously a lot easier to deal with.
We couldn’t believe it either, it’s a real Dutch one as well that came over to the uk about 5 years ago, the chap started working on it and then just disappeared about 3 years ago, (hes definitely not dead) he payed the mooring fees but not the river licence fee and it also has no Bss on it so the marina don’t want it there. I think the river authority will convert it to a work boat because it’s too good to weigh in for scrap.
Popped to the docks to have a look at this magnificent replica Spanish galleon. Bit expensive to go aboard, but worth it if you're an enthusiast I suppose The Galeón Andalucía visits Bristol - Fundación Nao Victoria | Tickets El Galeón & Nao Victoria https://share.google/assH5cHo3FsqPGJYk
And going home day from Fairford. As usual been leaving throughout the day - and as usual it's been mostly cloudy so you hear but don't see. Blues festival, eh? I don't suppose there's secure bike parking though.
