  1. Weldable? Any way to reinforce it?

  2. Everything is weldable with the correct equipment and skills. However it may be quicker & cheaper to buy a new (or 2nd hand) part.

Check the integrity of the threaded holes it bolts into in the crankcase too, they tend to get worn & damaged over the years.

  3. That looks like the bolt has come out and it doesn't need welding at all.

  4. I thought that to start with but look directly below the bolt hole and you can see a split in the bracket.
Personally I’d just replace the bracket and be done with it.

  5. Ah yes.

Not worth taking the risk I'd say.
The brackets look like they are forged to me so any weld will have a completely different structure and possibly introduce a brittle area to fracture.

I'd be looking for a used bracket to replace it with.

Have you been on a ferry with the bike by any chance and they've strapped down whilst on the side stand?

  6. It's cast steel i think. Had it mig welded today..i wonder if It'll hold...

No ferry, only thing that might've caused this is me sitting on the bike with the kickstand down... Weird tho, I've always been super careful of putting too much weight on it since i know they're shit on this bike. Didn't know they're THIS bad,
