How is it possible to love an animal as much as you have loved any human?

  3. 'Orla' (from our Fly's last litter of pups) is lucky enough to live with humans that have a second home in the Swiss Alps. Being just 8 months old, this is the first time there for her. BIG storm on arrival but she was completely unfazed...... upload_2025-8-2_9-13-52.jpeg

  7. Is ‘Fly’ a nod to the film Babe?

  8. Black cats are the best, our little one we rescued last year called Ninja had a litter, they are almost exactly the same age. Sadly, we lost one very early on but these two have found a home together in a few weeks

  12. Nah Matey. Fly is a traditional Border Collie name. Was around waaay before the Babe film ;)Just for interest...... It's widely accepted that the first Border Collie (around 1900) was a dog named 'Old Hemp'. He had a famous Son named 'Old Kep'. Every Border Collie around the world could trace their lineage back to them. The KC finally recognised the Border Collie as a 'Pure Breed' in 1976.

  14. Last year we unexpectedly inherited a 3 month old miniature Daschund puppy, with a big family ski trip already booked and not wanting to leave him, @the_ski_dawg was born :joy:

  15. Get a puppy they said. It'll be fun they said.

This little twat (the furry thing on the left) is part chimpanzee as hes managed to fling his shit not only across his pen, crate and bed but also half way across the dining room.......its taken us both over an hour first thing this morning to clean up his mess, the little twat

  17. I thought the breed would have gone back way further. That’s good info. Thanks!

  18. Even more surprising (imo) is that the Jack Russell wasn't recognised by the KC until 2016
