Hello First joined the forum back in 2016 when I first bought a 900ss because it was cheap.. Hipster offered me a profit and I sold it only only riding a couple of times . Recently I had a full mental shutdown and bought a 1199 tricolore, a 1299s and a 2018 v4 within 6 months of each other because they were bargains Hopefully learn some stuff on here
Welcome and what a combo! What’s the best part about riding each one in your opinion and which one is the favourite?
Thankyou 1199 is pretty and raw , feels light but any traffic or sub 50 is pure misery V4 is my baby , I’ve totally clicked with it . Wider seat means I have more control and don’t slide forward and crush my gentleman sausage Only downside for me is exhaust noise. I only bought 1299 Friday . Looks beautiful and feels road friendly. Downside was trusting who I bought it from so it pulls like a train to 6000rpm then nothing so who knows what’s wrong . Messed up I think all three cook you though!
Do you have pictures of them all? Would love to see. Shame about the 1299, hopefully you can get to the bottom of what is going on with that. As for being cooked, that’s what they do! I’m sure you have seen elsewhere but I recently put one of these kits on mine to help. Has it got rid of the heat? No. Has it made it a little more bearable, yes. Worth a look. Greetings! Thats quite a collection and in a short time too. Riding above 50 mph is easily achieved and desirable, ear plugs are cheap and plentiful, which just leaves the 6K+ problem which I'm sure someone here will have a few suggestions to remedy it. As for the heat, winter is coming...
Thanks . I got hyside to fit the kit to my v4 as I was too idle to do it . On inspection they didn’t fit the engine cover that the v4 kit comes with , not funny
I don’t have time to ride so to get the time I ride into work. Ten years ago it was a clear run through country lanes . Now same country lanes are trying to feed an extra five hundred houses so unless I’m out at 5am I’m doomed to forty mph and filtering!
