I am looking for a new unused (old stock, or sat in the corner of a workshop) 749R/999R gearbox for my 749 RS. I would like the R version which has harder gears than the standard 749/999 box. Let me know if you have one and would be happy for it to go to a good home where it will get thrashed and abused, as it was designed to be!

If you are that keen for a proper gearbox… BSD Peterborough make an indestructible 3 dog box far superior to a 999RS box… and a reasonable price cheaper than nova
Yup. BSD box is based on the SERT gearboxes, and can survive weapons grade mouth breathers. I thought bsd stopped making them? so just to be clear, hippo me old fruit, you want a brand new unmolested gearbox but don’t want to pay full whack for one and hope that someone has got a brand new and unmolested one they’ll let you have for hopefully not the price of a new one? if bsd are still making that box, buy that.
Maybe what he is after is even more rare than a 749RS… and rocking horse poo in fact if you are going all billy big bolllox I would use the bigger shaft sized gearbox from say 1198….
