  2. Beautiful! I keep toying with the idea of buying a very cheap dilapidated 848 and doing the same…

  4. @vanduc996 That’s exactly my touring style: rucksack and that’s it. :upyeah::cool:

You ride on the road without mirrors and front turn indicators?

  5. Each to their own ...but personally i would never ride on a motorway eg. without mirrors or indicators, just my opinion.

  6. My current 899 is the only bike in the last 15 years I’ve kept the mirrors and lights on. Not a hint of bother.

  7. Indicators are there. At the bar ends, and in the slats in the tail. The left hand has a bar end mirror.

  8. I see now. Very subtle. :upyeah:

  9. Changed to a set of 5 spokes...

  10. No, just cast alloy. Wanted to preserve the OEM wheels so found a gold pair of Marchesinis and had them painted. Pleased so far :)

  11. Have you ever tried mags on your 916? It’s absolutely amazing how much lighter the bike feels. Almost like a 848…

  12. I haven't, but finding even these was tricky. Fitting the rear was also a pain, as it was almost impossible to get the nut down to the holes for the lock-clip. It is definitely overtight now so won'be taking it off for a bit! o_O

  13. Strange, the 5 spokes should be a straight swap.

  14. Yes, that was what I was expecting but it didn't turn out that way. Almost impossible to get the bolt far enough down the thread to engage the wire clip in the lock holes. Strange...

  15. I wouldn't be happy with that myself.
If it were me I'd remove it again, with the wheel and double check that everything is correctly assembled.
Does it have the standard nut and conical spacer?

  16. Yes, what an amazing difference, would never go back to the three spoke boat anchors.

  17. Same here! :upyeah:

Except when I got mine, they were mounted with brand new Super Corsa 2. Amazing grip, but need dry and warm weather…

  18. Yeah for the public road I'm pretty happy these days with ST tyres and my go to is the road 6, all you need TBH and not that bad for the occasional track day either. Yeah they don't look sexy but who cares.

  19. Those Super Corsas make me look really good… Even when parked, the bike looks badass with a slightly melted edge…
