I used to use Ultracentrifuges in a previous job. The rotors were made of titanium and ran at 125,000rpm+. The rotors would ‘grow’ by several mm and a colleague did a calculation to show an ounce at static ‘weighed’ more than a Mercedes E class at 125,000rpm. They were lined with a mix of steel plate, concrete and keramid fibres. Before we were allowed to sue them we had to watch safety films that showed what happened if they went wrong. It wasn’t pretty…….
Muck Off used to be a strong alkaline and was extremely aggressive which meant it was very easy to damage the surface finish of your wheel if you didn’t follow the small print instructions. Never let it dry, only leave it for seconds and throughly rinse it off with copious amounts of water. Products move on but I think their latest ‘nanotechnology’ product is still a strong alkaline. I am lucky then. I have been using it for 10 years, would wash my bike after every winter ride which was 2 x weekly and less in summer . However I never let the product dry , always rinsed, washed , rinsed and rinsed again quickly. As it happens I have just about run out of the 25 Litres I had so will try another kinder product.
