  1. Not really a Newbie to this Ducati Game, but a Newbie to this forum

was a member of Ducatisti and am a member of the TT1 & F1 forum

Started to build a few Specials back in around 2010. Heart attacks a failed relationship and work abroad made me stop. Been too damm idle to re-start. But my Son (who was born after I started the builds) is now 15 and wants me to finish off the bikes.

These are what I made /am making!

    Cheers one and all.

  2. My boy in 2016..and today. The tank has been changed twice. The seat twice and the fairing once. The forks also changed twice. It has a custom swingarm but I might bung the swingarm from my 851 Kit, on it.

Cant find where I put the ignition barrel, but have a couple of photos of where I initially located it on the bike. Have far more electrical connectors than expected. Cant find where the main battery cables are.

  7. Progress so far.

With this one I changed every bit of plastic that I could, for Carbon fibre, making many bits myself (and every metal bit for Alu, Magnesium or Titanium) I tried to fit a small gel battery... Could never get it to work, so I made a carbon fibre battery holder for the original sized battery and need to fit that today...then...

    1. Remove the fuel tank and rig up a small service tank, just to get the bike started.... Or see if the carbs are gummed up.
    2. See if the steel braid hoses and fuel pipes have retained integrity.
    3. If it starts, change oil and filter.
    4. Replen the brake fluid.
    5. Possibly change the one off Marzocchis for the original Showa forks (I swapped out the Ohlins a long time ago.)

Then once all that is done... Take it for a shakedown cruise and see where we go from there.
