I don’t think an apology was needed as he wasn’t rude. Agreeing to disagree would have been fine. He also blocked me before I replied, so it can’t be due to what I wrote in my follow up comment. As I’ve said before. I find the very idea of middle aged motorcyclists blocking each other to be absolutely bizarre. It’s very feminine coded, GenZ type behaviour and so not at all what I’d expect of GenX men who had the maxim “Sticks and stones etc” drummed into them in their formative years.
The interweb is a wonderful, wonderful thing but it's not necessarily the best place for human discussion/conversation/interaction. The nuances of speech, with it's emotional inflections, is so difficult to depict in writing plus there is none of that all important eye to eye visual feedback that helps temper 'normal' dialogue.
