1200 Comfort Seat Suggestions

  1. Hi all.

Can anyone recommend a more comfortable seat option for a 1200S Touring? The standard seat is like a board.

  2. If you can find one, Touratech did a touring seat for the 1200 DVT which I personally use and really enjoy.

Alternatively, @Sam1199 has known to help out with repadding the OEM seat and I can also personally vouch for its comfort.

I've yet to take the Touratech on a multi day trip, but so far, it's far wider and further back sitting than standard which is really comfortable.

I have however taken a seat reshaped on a multi day trip many a time and I didn't get ass smarties once at any point, and I'll ride for hours on end, only stopping to let me and the bike drink :D

  3. Any decent seat upholsterer in your area should be able to pad your seat out and still use the original cover and I would then add a Cool Cover to give the extra comfort on top

  4. I've attached three sets of pictures, hopefully in order. The OEM one is without the seat risers, red stitching is oem+ and the black is the Touratech.

The bike hasn't had a clean outside of a rinse and rain in a year... Looking at the pictures, maybe she needs one.
