All I can say is you lucky bastard! Many reasons why the outcome could have been very different. Wishing the best in your recovery.
TBH I cant remember anything from the night before either other than we were out in Tynemouth for something to eat and called some friends to ask if they wanted to come out for a drink. They had been paddle boarding down at the beach and were just packing up when we rang them so they said they'd nip home, drop the boards off and get changed and come out to see us. Last thing I remember was seeing their car going round a roundabout near the hotel where we were with the boards on the roof rack.........apparently they came out, we had some drinks and something to eat and I drove home at 10.30pm...........I can't remember any of that. Nor can I remember any of the Sunday (the day it happened).
Well ‘they’ say your brain almost ‘deletes’ events surrounding a trauma so maybe that’s why. Get yourself well, fella.
Bliemy Terry that was a close shave with the grim reaper, thank god Doris was at hand and able to fend him off. Glad you’re on the mend
@El Toro Scary stuff. Glad you're still with us, thanks to Doris. Take care and wishing you a speedy recovery!
This is a little eerie for me my sister left me a message last night asking me to ring her which I got this morning wit another message telling me BIL is in ICU at Grimsby having had a heart attack He was driving home from his quiz night and began to feel unwell. He stopped and got out the car and collapsed. A passing motorist stopped and performed CPR until an Ambulance arrived and they managed to restart his heart One of his lungs also collapsed. The Hospital calculated he had been without circulation for 30 mins. He keeps having siezures and they have said if his Heart stops again they will not resuscitate as it wouldn't be the best thing. Don't know how long he was collapsed before the passerby started CPR. But your better half certainly knows CPR. If you are not breaking ribs you are not doing it right Not a lot of people live with the debt you now have
That’s Scary. Glad you’re on the mend Terry, well done Doris, think you need to treat her to whatever she wants.
Drove from Holland into Belgium and staying in Ypres . Dodged the showers today. The last post was very moving. Only moving on an hour or so tomorrow.
