Flying into Zadar and out of Venice via Pula, but the pull of going south to both Split and Dubrovnik is enticing We have five nights accommodation booked so far in Zadar and on the island of Ugljan.

Still on the Longleat campsite recuperating from my wacky weekend. Details here, if interested: I Don't Believe It!!! I've waiting for 3 days for it to stop raining so I can go round the safari park because although it is still open in bad weather I don't want to risk running the gauntlet of the monkey enclosure in my Supersonic Shed (a shabby 35 year old Transit based motorhome) and therefore will need to do it on their tour bus, but they only run it when they have sufficient visitors.
It’s like going on the heat of summer when it’s raining. They don’t tend to do much moving. I’ve learned to swerve zoos and safari parks at such times. Another handy tip is to find out what colour polo shirts the staff wear and get something similar. It bloody works!
Keeps we buy any bike off your back for a month or two (who actually offered me a very good price for my 899 recently).
The weather call is not so much about the animals but the humans, because if there aren’t many visitors then they don’t run the tour bus and I’m definitely not doing it in my motorhome as it’s so old and decrepit I’d probably end up back at base sitting on a bare chassis.
