So what have you done today..?

  1. Road legal? OTR cost?

  2. Ouchy 'off' after my interaction with uncompromising ruts, having encountered them a bit fast!

    His & his...

My mate used to do schoolboy motocross, so he certainly knows how to ride on dirt, etc. However he's a stupid twat and fell of one more time than me. Basically the Shercos are competition bikes that are way better than me, but fun...

  3. Yes, road legal (-ish!), so MOT, insurance, etc. We both paid around £3500 for 5 & 8 yr-old bikes. I spent a week or so ironing out the previous owners' stupidity & lack of basic maintenance on both bikes. Should have bought something a lot more sensible, but hey - they made us giggle and that goes a long way...

  6. Beware of going into Wales with mousses fitted as Police have been known to procecute for their use and will pull you hoping you have them fitted......

  8. I’ve heard the same. One guy on a TRF Facebook group even had his bike impounded. What a cunch of bunts

  9. Did a small food shop and as far as I know, didn't get done for speeding - by an idiot sitting in his van playing with himself.

Spoke to my brother about what my solicitor might bring up when she calls him on Monday.

Booked a show at the Theatre Royal Plymouth for next week when I am there. I want to discover more in Plymouth as it should be my second home. There is also a gin distillery not far from the hotel that needs investigating. But I most certainly won't be investigating house prices. That is bad for my mental health and hotels are easier.

  10. I tend to find that with ruts, fast is good (to a point) as the gyroscopic effect keeps the bike wanting to keep on trucking, but it’s when you fanny about that you end up cross-rutted and upside down.

  11. I might - just might - get a taxi to th Brittany Ferries terminal just to discover how far from the hotel it is. I have got two crossings to Spain booked for next year and I am interested to see how easy it would be to use this hotel as a stop-off, before taking the ferry.

  12. That technique, whilst valid, comes with risk. It is a kind of shit or bust thing!

  13. Why?

  14. You go quick to ride over the ruts, but one catches you out as it is bigger or deeper than anticipated, so when you crash you are going a lot quicker!

  15. I guess it's easy pickings for them.

Drove from Longleat to Dartmoor. Presently nyomming some noodles then off to find the farm where I’m staying tonight. I fancied wild camping up here but, rather like a WW2 submarine, I need to surface every few days to recharge batteries (using campsite leccy). I need to get some solar….:sun:

  17. I'll check, as my mate's bike is fitted with mousses. I can only assume that they're not road legal
Surely it shouldn't have just passed it's MOT test...
