So what have you done today..?

  1. No pressure gauge needed in this case - his wheels don't have valves... only tyre-clamp studs!

  2. Haha. Yeah. That's a bit of a giveaway

  3. there is, it’s 30mph now and absolutely rammed on any half reasonable weather day. Plus the road surface is like a motocross track

  4. Our van has two solar panels on the roof . For the 10 day trip earlier this month we only plugged in once . They go into two leisure batteries, I think when the van is running that also tops up the leisure batteries??

  7. Depends on how the van is wired. Some solar panels are wired to charge the leisure and the starter batteries, some are not. Same goes for the engine alternator which charges all batteries or just the starter. Ideally they should all be charged by both, but people doing these installations are sometimes worried that if they link anything to their starter battery they may end up stuck...

An automotive electrician should be able to check and put it right easily and cheaply.

No problem with blood thinners ?, I had to wait a year until I dropped the meds before I could continue with the tattoos, refreshing change seeing colour these days as most seem to prefer grey and black ,what studio if you don’t mind me asking as there works looks very good. Good to see you on the mend :upyeah::heart:

  9. It does but I have a diesel heater and a Starlink dish, both of which are quite power hungry and so they not only drain the batteries, they need them to be in a good state of charge in order to work. The hab unit has a 110ah leisure battery and I also carry a 100ah spare which I can swap in a matter of seconds. The van has two 75ah starter batteries but there’s some sort of issue with one of them or the starting circuit because I keep having to use a booster pack to jump start it. They’re both showing decent voltage disconnected and there’s 14v going into them from the alternator when the engine is running so it’s a bit of a mystery.

Yesterday evening I found myself on Dartmoor with dead starter batteries and my booster pack was also discharged. A lovely old lady stopped and gave me a jump start, but I would have had to leave the van running all night but that’s not really doable as it’s noisy and fumes get into the cab area when stationary because three quarters of the exhaust system is in a hedge near Box Hill following my unscheduled cross country escapades last weekend.

  10. No problem with blood thinners at all. I prefer the abstract watercolour style though I do like some black/grey geometric designs I've seen done.

My first two were done at a studio called Skins and Needles in Middlesbrough/Ingleby Barwick (https://skinsnneedles.co.uk)

This was done by a Brazilian artist called Jonny Ink (real name Jonny Neto - https://www.instagram.com/jonny.ink/?hl=en) who has since moved on and went to London but is now working in Gloucester I believe.

This was done at the same studio in Ingleby Barwick by a guy called Chez

and the rest were done by an artist called Lou Miller who is based at Marked for Life (https://www.facebook.com/loumillertattoos/about/?_rdr or https://www.instagram.com/loumiller_tattoos/ or https://www.facebook.com/Markedforlifetattoostudio/) in Thornaby but does guest slots around the country too (her latest was in Cambridge a couple of weeks ago and in October does her annual stint on a cruise ship in Miami). Lou actually finished off the surrounding bits around the owl, as I got that done first as it was quirky and on a whim tbh so felt a bit inadequate after I had my other arm done.

Think that's it for the time being ;)

  12. They aren't. TCars and bikes can pass a MOT and still be not road legal.

I had my van pass a MOT but the tyres were illegal, I was warned by the tester to get them changed ASAP or face the penalty should I be stopped and found.

The tyres appeared as an advisory on the MOT but not a fail.

  13. “Lucky” I don’t really get a choice in the matter tbh. He has a very pre-#MeToo view of consent, so everyone gets hugs and kisses whether they want them or not. He doesn’t so much as cuddle, but more tries to wear your skin as a suit.

I’m kidding, of course and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I met a couple the other day with a WCS that looked just like Iggy’s litter mates, so likely from the same bloodline, and they said he’s exactly the same with them.

  15. Giving the bike a good going over pre wales trip later this week. Chain hasn’t needed adjusting in several thousand miles.

  16. It was far too hot :joy:
