I’ve just bought a 2018 959 corse and it looks as if the original skyrich battery is on the way out. First start even after being on the optimiser and the bike fires then cuts and needs a few goes until it starts properly. Speaking to a mate this is exactly what happens on his 1299 when the battery starts to fail and he has replaced them a few times. Question is, do I get another Skyrich or try a Shido? Or another brand? the bikes only done 2500 miles from new but in reality that’s never good for LiPo even when on optimates
I find Skyrich ok but the Shido on my 899 is over 6 years old now, rarely on a charger and the bike has never failed to start, even after a very long time of just sitting there. Worth the extra £’s imo.
