It was a great weekends racing, pity the weather kept on interrupting things and the knock on with the schedule. SR looks strong and he certainly appears happy with the team and bike….you certainly wouldn’t bet against him next year. At the end of the last superbike race they announced they will be returning again next year. Only sour point was one of the Brit lads in our hotel having his S1000rr stolen
Someone I know, recently had their GS stolen from outside the reception of a hotel in Dublin. The night manager was threatened by the thieves when he tried to intervene. A blood bike in full livery FFS was stolen in Bracknell recently. When the Blood bike service found the bike where it was hidden overnight, without any assistance, there was £14,000 worth of damage, front subframe (breaking the steering lock), rear subframe (bodywork ripped off to find the tracker) and cracked head unit which is bike keyed. The thieves were even confronted when they returned to try and collect the bike, claiming it was theirs. Andy
They’re not known for their brains arse they. I don’t know the full details of the poor guy in Assen but always worth making sure the hotel has decent security/cameras. Hopefully this was the case and the vermin can be traced. Whenever I’ve been abroad I’ve always asked if I can put my bike in reception overnight. Not always practical I appreciate.
