What a magical place Dartmoor is and just look at that sky. Our resident nephologist @Andy Bee will probably enjoy and be able to name those cloud formations.

I’ve also invented or at least independently discovered the most amazing meal. It’s a roast chicken, crunchy stuffing and cranberry sauce sub roll (so far, so conventional) but when dunked in Bisto Best gravy it is transformed into something quite sublime.

  12. congratulations on your son's passing his A2, and at least you know he's a sensible rider having done so many miles with him. I have no idea what the current test procedure is like, is there another test later on or is that it?

  13. The link between oral health & heart disease/high blood pressure has been widely researched & is well known. So invest in the best toothpaste & tooth brushes & start getting into the habit of using those TePe interdental brushes after food.

And get Doris to nag you morning & night to clean your teeth... and do it properly

  14. He-he-he, hmmm.... well there's high pressure over the UK at the moment that's keeping the low pressure to the west at bay. And to me that looks like a weather front between the two with the wispy stuff in the blue (high pressure) being Cirrus and the foreboding stuff being some type of Stratus - Nimbo or Alto. Often best to observe a sky by lying down and I bet the night sky is (possibly) even better.

As you say Dartmoor, along with Exmoor are fabulous wild & ancient & feel alive places to be. And there's not much better than sharing that with a hound. Both in your own space & mindset but still vibing together.

  16. TBH I do brush night and day and use corsodyl and/or sensodyne toothpaste. I also use a water jet dental flosser which I find much better than TePe interdental brushes. This abscess Ive had has been going on intermittently for as long as I can remember and seems to flair up when I've been stressed.

  17. I LOVE salt and it goes in or on everything I eat in liberal quantities, including marmalade on toast. I even put it in some drinks (try it in hot chocolate). I also absolutely cane the caffeine too as I drink at least 3 or 4 mugs of espresso strength coffee with 3 sugars per day. I basically follow the Keith Richards theory of nutrition, namely that you ensure that your blood is so full of toxins that no known pathogens can survive in it.
