The 2026 V4R is out again at the WSBK test, not anything new. Seems the bodywork is more or less final and the same as last time. Always fun with a few more pic https://www.gpone.com/en/2025/08/26...tista-also-tests-new-ducati-v4-at-aragon.html https://www.crash.net/wsbk/news/1080086/1/nicolo-bulega-focuses-2026-aragon-worldsbk-test
Eur 44k, I think. They need to have produced 125 of them on the date of homologation. Normally they launch it at EICMA? No, they can change the swingarm, although it still has to eligible. For eligibility they have a price cap of Eur10k for the bare swingarm. The type (single or double sided) must be as homologated.
Ducati’s new bike release presentations begin on Friday. I’m guessing the V4R will be first to be announced.
I think they will announce the V4R last to give WSBK less time to outlaw the tech on it (the ground effect ducting etc). I joke but in all seriousness the talk seems to be that the championships are concerned that Ducati are basically going to just dominate next year and people will just be totally put off. It could easily run as is and win the championship next year as it is, and Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda don’t seem to be doing anything to update their products meaning it will be 2-3 generations ahead
Think it will be as per the price cap, which was €44000 in '23 Or you could buy the Aprilia RSv4-XP at £90k
Seen that today on Facebook. They’ve removed the carbon wings & the swingarm looks to be the same as the S, they say it’s black so I’m not sure if that’s a colour change from the S/base. New gearbox incoming with Neutral at the bottom & a bit of fidgeting to get it into N……..might not be a desirable quality if you’re riding it on the road.
If I were rendering a new R I would also include the T-drive finned disks the Tricolore has. Though maybe they will drop those and leave them as an option to keep it in the price cap (that the Tricolore was already over).
I have received a pic of the new R direct from Ducati, will post 5pm tomorrow when the nda ends. Blurb is it's 'an all-new motorcycle, in engine, chassis, electronics, and above all aerodynamics'
https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/bikes/panigale/panigale-v4-r, a massive 186.5kg (no fuel) and only 218 hp and 84 lbf torque Andy
How much are you going to budget for the race exhaust ? I can’t see that being much less than £8k. Andy
That is f***ing awesome. I dont usually get excited about these sort of things like i used to but that does sound like a race bike you could ride on the road. Makes the £60k special editions look shite.
