Looks and sounds absolutely amazing. Let’s be honest you’re dropping at least 50 large to get it something like. Then there’s the 99 recalls Gonna be some weapon alright for those lucky punters… fugit, life ain’t a rehearsal
Has anyone seen the costs of the accessories, not that you probably need them… but also before everyone says “if you have £38k for the bike you can afford the accessories” I don’t think people who have done well enough in life to buy a bike like this are also complete idiots when it comes to how they spend that money… but Ducati do clearly. Exhaust - £8k T drive Brembo discs - £3800!!!!!!!! Carbon wheels - £5300!!!!!!!!! I don’t know why anyone needs t drive discs on top of the standard package but still, it’s absolutely obscene. the bike is stunning though, wish it had carbon fairings though with the lettering exposing the carbon, that would have been nice for £38k
why does the video preamble say this: "The dynasty marked by the iconic letter, started with the 996 R, continues with the new Panigale V4 R, produced in a numbered edition and designed to compete in the 2026 World Superbike Championship." why did it start with the 996R?
Presumably as the smaller bike is not classed as a superbike. 748r was homologated to race in Supersport.
So, after several discussions and even a visit to discuss this bike yesterday, sadly the numbers just didnt stack up in my favour enough to warrant it. I was very close, I dont normally consider depreciation on my toys but previous V4 R's drop quite a bit in first few years so had to consider this was going to cost me prob 5k per year plus running costs. Add the fact of over 8k required to get the exhaust added, along with red-care and few other small bits it was basically coming in at a touch over 50k - I didnt get the Tricolore for the same reason basically Sadly I will wait and see what comes up with the SP3 (I guess) and review again - but sadly, perhaps Ducati have priced me out of the market for special editions and anything above a V4S for now
I'm thinking the same tbh, £8k for the exhaust is just plain silly now. I like my gen2 v4r more and think it looks better than this latest one. Also not long after the gen2 came out they started doing a deal on the £7k exhaust throwing it in a deal with the bike. My cost to change from gen1 v4r to a new gen2 v4r was £22k! It will need some daft deal to get me onto a new one.
That's a shame, but miles out of my price range. Compared to the paint job and sticker kit specials they usually churn out I guess it is a bit of a bargain for the "specialness" and the many first on a road bike tech bits, gearbox etc, and 205 mph with the exhaust, which is obviously a must on any new bike!
I don’t think it even leaves space for a numberplate bracket as the pipes are next to eachother and cross under the tail where there tail tidy mounts.
lots of views on exhaust... just to add to the fun, and for more money there are two types available from Ducati I guess street wider silencers and track more narrow......and 8300 plus
