Pureblood here. I didn’t get the vaccines or boosters as I thought it was rushed to market, I don’t trust public bodies to perform their functions correctly or tell people the truth and I didn’t think I was at risk of dying from what was basically a rebadged flu, particularly when I only rarely get ill and when I do I always get over it very quickly. A lot of people thought I was a tinfoil hat wearing crank. But they’re all dead now.
I wish I didn't get it, but the only way I was "allowed" to fly to the US to see my Dad was if I had the vaccine. If I didn't do it, I wouldn't have seen him before he died, so in a way I'm glad I did, but I try not to think what on earth I was injected with.
I'm on holiday in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, so naturally I spent most of it in a grotty workshop talking to another eccentric middle aged man about motorcycles. I took the motorhome to the local garage to have the brakes looked at and it turned out that the owner was an absolute bike nut, plus he particularly likes oddities, so we got on like a house on fire. He had 2 ratty Cagiva Mitos that looked as if they'd been ridden harder than a blue eyed whore in an Algiers brothel before being thrown in the sea, some 1980s looking Yamaha 4 stroke off road bike that I can't now remember the name of ("DR?")* and something called a "Cossack" which was a Soviet era military BMW clone that he bought from a guy in Ukraine who apparently might be the only remaining source of some parts. He also had this. I'm back there again tomorrow to have the brake pads fitted and as luck would have it, it turns out he also has a full Transit exhaust system (secondhand) lying around, so it's two birds with one stone. * Edit: Moron - it was a 'Zuki DR 125(?), not a Yamaha.
Good grief, not another one of those silver linings & simple pleasures of dealing with real people & their humanity....
Spent 3 hours in the garden trying to get on top of it before autumn sets in after neglecting it for all of the summer. Filled 3, meter cubed and 2, half meter cubed bags with an assortment of laurel, privet, grass, brambles and weeds. Much to the annoyance of neighbours, I also uncovered a large pile of well seasoned, magnolia logs which will make a wonderful bonfire. I might have to consider several bonfires as the pile looks like it could burn for a few days Andy
Caught the ferry from Zadar to Preko on the island of Uglijan. The island has the slow-down vibe that I was looking for. Beer time now.
My brother had a stroke 2 years ago, yes he smoked, didn’t drink too much, he is convinced it’s the covid jabs that brought it on, he was 62 when he had a stroke. There’s no way of proving or disproving
My mates mum had several strokes after Covid jabs and one eventually killed her in her late 70s. He’s convinced the jabs caused it. Again, no way to prove it.
