Going Over On Mileage - 1st Service

  1. i’ve got my 1st service ( 600 mile)
on tuesday, however i’m on 680 at the moment and was planning on a ride tomorrow which will out another 100 on plus its 35 miles to the dealer so the bike would be on 805.
is this ok or will they pull their face at it.

  2. Personally I would avoid the extra mileage as they may say issues with warranty cover. I am sure I have read they use a running in oil for the first 600 miles.
I am sure others will advise.

  3. My Hyper 698 was bought as a demo bike.

The first service was done by the dealer whilst in their ownership at 800 miles. They added another year's warranty when i bought it.

  4. Ring them and ask.

  5. Never had a problem going over but circa your 800 probably enough :upyeah:

  6. my dealer told me that as long as was under 1000 miles it didnt matter - in the end my service light came on liteally as I was on the way to me service so I was all good :)

  7. arrived at dealer with 801 miles on the clock. no issue with this. dealer was fine.

  8. The dealer I used for the 600 service on my last 1260 Multi, JHP in Coventry, said the same. I was at around 800 miles IIRC.

  9. Usually the first service is at 1,000 Kms or 620 miles. I have gone over on a couple of bikes, I recall my KTM was at around 750 and it wasn't an issue.
