So what have you done today..?

  1. I'm open to hear more about heart problems and Covid jabs. I'm not totally discounting the opinion of a junior nurse with his/her head in their hands, but I'm also not about to place a bet on it either.

Current info on heart attack deaths, 2019 - 2022 by age & year

  2. 'Kin ell mate, it's been a while since I heard that forum name, who were you on there?

I was on there, I remember it turning in to a right shit show after it was bought by the publishing company

Some quality threads on there, impossible to read with a straight face

  3. Who knows. I know how I felt at the time, and the reaction he had. It’s all a bit odd. If I have the same symptoms again one day though, I’ll pop a couple of aspirin and see how it goes, as that’s what they said I should do. Utter madness.

  4. I had the same ID. How about you? I stopped posting on there in c.2005(?) after it got bought out, the moderation became very Starmer-esque and people started getting banned, which really harshed the vibe. I believe @El Toro is still in touch with some of the people who were active on there.

Yep! I remember one of mine ("What Should I Do With a Bucket of Petrol?") kind of going viral and IIRC there was a really funny one which had started with someone asking where they could buy a plank.

  5. I was Shuttlespanker on there

The plank was Iron Bru Freak, he also had the classic, "where can I buy a black iridium visor"

Then, the one which really made my ribs ache, 'touching the water before it breaks'

Yorick is reasonably active on the Gixxer forum, he's now living in Lanzarote

  6. Yeah lots of weirdness, in a very weird time... I don't know about just taking a couple of Asprin though. It is advised by the NHS to chew 300mg of aspirin if you think you’re having a heart attack, while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.

    https://www.bhf.org.uk/informations...rks by reducing this,re having a heart attack.[/b]

Hopefully this decision will never arise!

  7. Went to my cardiac rehabilitation appointment, then went with Doris to the hospital for her X-ray on her back/hip, then went to the shops for some milk. Came out £143 lighter ffs

  10. Had a bad night's sleep due to terrible toothache and, just to tie a bow on the experience, I also had a dream about having toothache, although, oddly, in my dream it was a different tooth (lower left mid molar which is not even there anymore as I yanked out myself 6 months ago) than the one which is actually hurting (upper right mid molar). I appear to have "phantom tooth syndrome".

  11. You could buy a goat for that kind of money. You'd never have to pay for milk again and it will mow your lawn for you.

  12. It's all the other shite I never realised I needed that Doris put in the trolley on my behalf, ffs

  13. OK, but you should have still got a goat.

  14. This may be because bikes don't have front number plates, but if so, how does it work in London?

  15. Yesterday after work, and this morning, i have replaced both front lower control arms on the van, and swapped an odd tyre from the front to the rear

Got it rebooked for a wheel alignment next Saturday

  16. Hahahaha! This is coming from the guy who has bought just about every Ducati model for years, what seems like at least four houses in 5 years, is covered in personalised artwork and just bought a puppy -plus a spare for visiting guests. £143 for a litre of milk is nothing to you El T. LOL

  19. Ride into Wales with my Son before he goes off to Uni tomorrow for 4 years.

His DRZ cut out in Newtown, restarted but would not run once a gear was selected. Suspected it to be a faulty side stand switch, after a little searching we found a broken wire from the ignition.

Pushed it to Screwfix bought a knife and a roll of insulation tape stripped wire bodged a joint taped it up and headed home.

Lucky it happened in a town so we could buy what we needed to effect a repair. We really should finally put a toolkit and spares together....
