This was the latest addition to the stable about a month ago. It’s a Gas Gas Pampera 250 (2 stroke) and it’s a great little bike!
When i retired it was a toss up between buying a le mans or a Jota, both bikes i lusted after when a teenager, the Jota won!...still hankering after a Mk1 le mans though, nice bike BTW.
Out today on my newly acquired gsxr750 K5, almost kidded myself that it was summer!, made the most of it cos it could be snowing next week.
Just dug this out from years ago, another one i should have kept!...1988 Gsxr750J, fast as f@ck and quite trick too, it sounded just like a racing MV!
Yes, Series D Vincents including the Black Prince and Black Knight faired models had a lever operated centre stand, much like the ones fitted to some Rudge models in the 1930s.
Alex Moulton. Suspension front and rear. Triangulation. This one has later added electric motor, to help with steep hills.
Saw this at the Ace Cafe yesterday. Honda CBX 1000 six with a huge float sidecar, large enough for conveying bikes. Flimsy telescopic 35 mm forks have been replaced by robust leading links. Elaborate brackets fabricated for the front sidecar mountings.
Iirc the CBX had the engine as a stressed member of the frame with no downtubes and the head attached to the top frame tube. So no wonder it was an elaborate build. There again it might handle better as a three wheeler than as a two
My newest recruit, a 1969 triumph t150t trident, always liked the look of them, even with the UK breadbin tank and Ray gun silencers...clutch could be better though!
