Bsb Round 10, Oulton Park *spoilers*

  1. Horrendous weather today, rained constantly all day, causing 2 long delays to sweep the track. Schedule changed on the fly, far too many crashes, Danny Kent and Ben Currie wheeled off to the medical centre, lots of overnight rebuilding for the teams. Weather forecast for tomorrow is bad, not as much rain but 40mph winds. It's going to be challenging. It's taken 2 hours, a sausage pasta bake and 3 cans of beer for us to dry out and warm up. 6:30 am start tomorrow, on post before 8am, track inspection at 8:20. It's going to be a long day. Andy

  2. Best wishes to Danny and Ben.

    Sounds a bit grim.

Hope you’re not too busy and manage to stay dry-ish.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  3. Good luck Andy, hope you have a better day.

  4. Looked terrible! I think it’s going to be unlikely to get the programme to run as they have scheduled but the priority is the safety of the riders, especially after the earlier visit to Oulton.

  5. “It’s unbelievable” as it starts pissing down in October in the U.K.

    :joy:

  6. Those qualifying conditions were the worst you could imagine, wet greasy tracks with the sun glaring off them and wind buffeting you from side to side.
    Fuck. That.
No wonder SR4 wanted no part of it.

  7. Had a bit of duff info, no Danny Kent this weekend, Cam Donald was standing in. Weather again today absolutely shit for most of it. Had a nasty incident in our sector during the Superstock, one bike leapfrogged the 8 foot catch fence. Riders were walking wounded. Lots of fallers just trying for those last 10ths in very sketchy conditions. Over 8 hours on post today and we are knackered. Just had a King Prawn Dansak and Onion Bhaji for dinner with a beer. Shorter day tomorrow, track inspection 11:30 and the weather looks less awful. @Red899, Scot did not look comfortable at any time and he/his team made 2 poor decisions for the race. Wrong tyre choice and he went in to change during the race. Race control declared a wet race which means no laps qualify for the races tomorrow if you come in and change. The 3 riders who came in on the sighting lap got penalised as well. The correct choice was Inters, well done Josh and Leon. Lots of crazy riders out today, unbelievable skill and dedication to their sport, hats off to them. Andy

  8. Even more duff info, cam Donald retired about 5 years ago and was a TT rider! It was Kam Dixon! Haha

  17. 30 plus marshalls, Oulton Park staff, a lot of scrubbing and a lot of track drying. It was touch and go but that's one of the reasons we are there. Andy

  19. he said it was a bracket holding the oil pipe onto the cooler, I’d question why it wasn’t lock wired, and why it’s not listed in the technical regs that any oil cooler lines must be lock wired, like the sump plug and filter already is.
