Hi All. I'm Andy and I live in South London. I've dreamed about owning a 748 or 916 since they came out, and now is the time to fulfil that dream. Unfortunately I'm really struggling to find the right one. Obviously we all want the perfect bike but the market seems rather mixed up at the moment - so I'm rather struggling. I don't want a particularly special one, but ideally one with the adjustable headstock, and preferably as stock as possible. I would value any advice or suggestions of decent bikes that are for sale at the moment. Thanks Andy
Andy, I personally preferred the 748 over the 916. It was more revvy and you can also lower the gearing to make up the difference. A 748 sp or sps even better but you will need proof of this. It don't always say that on the V5. Easy to make a 748 biposto look like an sp. 996 better bet in my opinion.
999 ugly front end wider seat and wider tank. Feels more like a Japanese bike. Not as flickable as the older models in my humbelist opinion.
Thanks for the welcome. As I say, the bike has to be a 748. While a 916 or 996 would be nice, my budget won't stretch that far for a decent bike.
