the Royal Oilfield - if an "early" british bike didn't leave an oil patch then it meant there was something wrong (maybe an empty crankcase).
Remember browsing in a bike shop back in the 80's and every British bike in there had a tray underneath.
that can be quite a blessing with a fully faired Ducati because it has its own oil catcher. When my oil pressure switch (the first of many) failed on the 1098 I was almost oblivious! Was quite a shock when I saw the size of the leak.
I've had a head like cotton wool most of the day and at one point the room started spinning vertically and horizontally...........I'm putting it down to the new meds I've been put on. It's not been a very pleasant day tbh.
