Looks like it could stop on a sixpence

 

I've always been interested in Buells, they had some real innovation in their time. Super steep rake angle and mega short wheelbase(!) Oil in the frame for packaging and the rim mounted disks allowed for a lightweight front wheel as the braking forces are transmitted directly to the rim and tyre..such a shame the company didn't keep going...

 

I'm thinking any replacement discs, wheels, calipers or pads are either unobtanium or ludicrously expensive.

 

Harley did them in, I really liked them. Haven't they resurrected in some form?

Caliper is a Nissin ZTL2 with 8 (yes, eight) pistons.

Was just googling about seeing what sort of prices these go for, which seems to be around the 5 grand mark, and landed on this advert where the original owner was Mel C of the spice girls. Not sure if that bumps up it's value & I'm sure there must be a joke in there somewhere...

This is a Suzuki 500 twin two stroke, dollied up to look vaguely like a Ducati 750 SS greenframe.

 

Too much of a change from the usual format for motorcyclists who it would seem don't much like a new look.

Nice looking machine, it will be quick with that motor in it!...many moons ago when i was in my teens i had a mustard coloured 1972 Lambretta Jet 200, it went like stink for a scooter, but kept snapping gear change cables in the left twistgrip.

 

Yeh,its surprised a few people at how quick it is lol
