(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

  1. Ah, but you’re also forgetting that they do eventually give, often shattering into a thousand shards of razor sharp plastic while simultaneously showering you and anyone within fragging distance with superheated and very sticky Kung Pao Chicken. It’s like being napalmed, which would be appropriate if somewhat darkly ironic if it were Vietnamese rather than Chinese food.

  2. Ha-ha-ha - although our local flavoured monosodium glutamate establishment have upped the quality of their containers (if not their food) to some form of reusable/recyclable flexible plastic that hasn't yet shown any sign of impending fragmentation. They even have a little cut away to assist in opening although it has to be said the beading can be tough to break completely so there is a good chance, when it does suddenly let go, of still receiving a fine splatter of the afore mentioned Kung Pao sauce.

Because of this I use them to keep me spare valve shims in.

  4. Indeed you have.

We’ve got a stack of them and they are regularly used to store foodstuff, leftovers etc in the fridge as well as for items to go in the kids packed lunches.

When they start to crack/splinter, they go into the recycling.

  6. My 750ss has gone to a new home. My dodgy joints have spoiled the fun so it was time to let it go. And to be honest, with the Multi sat there as well, it was hardly getting a look in anyway.

  8. Nice try, but that's got to be AI. If not, then it is the platonic ideal of takeaway containers.

  9. Fantastic & rare indeed... all I'm thinking is what culinary delight required a receptacle of such capacity?

  14. Had a nice day out at the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show at Stafford today, some nice bikes on view, saw a couple of Ducati for sale, a Multi DS for around £2200

    And a 748, anyone here?

  18. To be honest, I was slightly disappointed with the show today, it wasn't as good as the last few years, there were bigger gaps in the halls, and not as much indoor trade stands, the bike auction tomorrow is run by Bonhams, they want £10 for an auction guide,.or £30 for a full auction program, both admit 2 adults to view the auction lots

    I'll pass

Thinking of booking a bike or two in for next year, will give me free admission to the show, and free camping for the weekend too

  19. Did you go to the summer one? That one was heaving.

  20. At Stafford?

    No, just the October one
